  • 2024 Toronto Audiofest 'Stereophile' Report: Luna Cables with SPL Audio, KEF, and Stable 33.33

“This was one of my favorite demos at the show. It sounded so well balanced, it seemed to deliver everything in the right proportions. Bold but not in-your-face; tonally ripe but not too warm; detailed but not stringent; effortless but weighty, and so on […] The system produced a holographic, densely populated landscape of images that were physical, tangible, and stood colorfully out in space in their own air cubicles. It also all sounded so unmechanical, and, again, well-balanced”

  • 2024 Toronto Audiofest 'Analog Planet' Report: Luna Cables with SPL Audio, KEF, and Stable 33.33

“My favorite moment was when Danny put on an incredible album from Alabama Shakes, 2015’s Sound & Color (ATO Records ATO0269), and the response from the crowd was genuine […] We were all brought together in that moment, immersed in the sound from that beautiful beast of a turntable.”

  • 2024 Toronto Audiofest 'Stereophile' Report: Luna Cables with Star Electronics, Yamaha, and Weiss Audio

“The system’s sound was richly reverberant, luxuriantly textured, warm but never congested, and tonally deep-colored and full.”

  • 2024 Toronto Audiofest 'PMA' Report: Luna Cables with SPL Audio, KEF, and Stable 33.33

“The Luna cables, discreet yet essential, create a perfect connection between the Stable 33.33 turntable and each component of the SPL system powering it, ensuring uncompromised sonic purity.”

  • 2024 Montréal Audiofest 'Enjoy The Music' Report: Luna Cables with Thöress, AudioNec, Wattson Audio, and The Wand

"Danny Labrecque of Luna Cables in Eastern Québec has had his cables in the rooms of other presenters for a long time. In recent years he has taken to hosting his own room and they have typically been top-tier presentations."

  • 2024 Montréal Audiofest 'Stereophile' Report: Luna Cables with Bliss Acoustics, Nagra, AudioNec, Modulum Audio, and others

This system produced some of the most sophisticated and compelling sound at the show. It had gorgeous tone, grand scale, and waves of fine detail. It also had tonal purity, musical grace, and an atmospheric, harmonic fullness. This sound was easy to sink into and hard to break out of.

  • 2024 Montreal Audiofest 'Stereophile' Report: Luna Cables with Thöress, AudioNec, Wattson Audio, and The Wand

"I could live with a system like this," I thought, as I sat beguiled by what I was hearing and seeing in the room co-hosted by Luna Cables, Thöress, AudioNec, The Wand, and Wattson Audio. At that moment I wasn’t thinking only of the system’s sound quality but also of the artisanal, passionate, old-values aesthetic these companies represent. Certainly those components—those values—were making beautiful music together, music with touch, tactility, air, pure tone, expressive delicacy, vocal purity, solid bass, transparency, and informational fullness.”

  • 2023 Montreal Audiofest 'TED' Report: Luna Cables with Phonographe, Thöress, Wattson Audio, and The Wand

(translated) “Our friends from Luna Cables offered a presentation of their products that was truly off the beaten track. The music emanating from the small room was imbued with a soft, beautiful musicality, but perhaps the room's most pleasant surprise was the pair of loudspeakers used by the Luna Cables team. Straight out of the late 1960s, Rectilinear's ‘Highboy’ speakers stole the show.”

  • 2023 Montreal Audiofest 'Stereophile' Report: Luna Cables with Phonographe, Thöress, Wattson Audio, and The Wand

“The qualities I heard were what one might expect a system like this to possess: organic, sweet, richly textured, and tonally pure, providing luscious, natural vocals and an entrancing sense of easy musicality.”

  • 2022 Montreal Audiofest 'Stereophile' Report: Luna Cables with Yamaha

“Adding to the room's audiophile quotient was Luna Cables, whose products Art Dudley spoke highly of, and with whom Yamaha had partnered, synergistically, via a Luna Cables Red step-up transformer […] The soundstage stretched past the side walls. Drum and bass notes popped out from the mix with satisfying flesh and swing.”

  • 2019 Capital Audiofest 'Part Time Audiophile' Report: Luna Cables with Old Forge Audio

“I don’t like to judge an excellent system like this on the first day of a show when everything’s still warming up and the bugs are still being sorted out. But the Old Forge Audio room was the first one, to my ears, that was firing on all cylinders. Everything sound so right.”

  • 2018 High End Munich 'Sound Stage' Report: Luna Cables with Grandinote, Shinai, Volta, and Celio

“This showed system synergy at its best. Grandinote and Luna made for a textured, tonally beautiful, detailed, massively-scaled and oh-so-sweet sound that was one of the highlights of the show.”

  • 2018 Montreal Audiofest 'Stereophile' Report: Luna Cables with Yamaha

“Even more convincing were the presence of the musicians and the sheer believability of the music. I remembered thinking, when I heard the same speakers last year, that the sound occasionally came close to being spitty without quite doing so—and this year, that tendency, if it had existed at all, was nowhere in sight.”

  • 2018 Montreal Audiofest 'PS Audio' Report: Luna Cables with Yamaha

“This is where Luna Cables comes in. What poor cables do to a system, is rob it of its temporal coherence. Of course, if you’ve never heard a system with absolute temporal coherence, chances are you won’t recognize one that lacks it. But if you have, you know that most systems simply don’t have it. And if you need a lesson, just pop round to the Luna Cables room and allow the NS-1000’s to do their revealing thing. Last year my jaw dropped when I listened to Stevie Ray Vaughan’s “Tin Pan Alley” on the Yamaha/Luna system. It taught me lessons about my own system. This year, they too used a vinyl source, and a (small) stack of audiophile-approved LPs, so all I got to listen to was stuff that wasn’t nearly so challenging. But it was still most convincing. Luna Cables are right up there with the very best.”
